Corruption and Government. Causes, Consequences, and Reform.

Susan Rose-Ackerman discusses the routine payoffs and corruption in contracting and privatization and the instruments of accountability. Rose-Ackerman analyzes the research explosion that accompanied the fall of the Berlin Wall, the founding of Transparency International, and the World Bank’s decision to give anti-corruption policy a key place on its agenda. Susan Rose-Ackerman is the Henry R. Luce Professor of Jurisprudence (Law and Political Science) with joint appointments between Yale Law School and the Yale Department of Political Science. She has taught and written widely on corruption, law and development, administrative law, law and regulatory policy, the nonprofit sector, and federalism.
