The #MeToo movement shed light on workplace sexual harassment in the US.
This article assesses how effective the digital phenomenon has been in supporting female workers, especially those who are more vulnerable, such as low-wage workers and women in positions of authority.
It examines the progress made by governments in achieving gender equality through legal obligations in the post-MeToo era, as well as addressing the factors that contribute to gender-based violence and harassment.
