Early human evolution, climate change and brain expansion

Human evolution is characterised by speciation, extinction and
dispersal events, However, none of these fully explain the timing or the causes of these human evolution events. Understanding the climate of East Africa is essential. Current evidence suggests the majority of hominin species originated in East Africa. Mark Maslin, Professor of Climatology at University College London discusses his research into brain expansion and climate change.
