As the world of work is undergoing the substantial transformation known as ‘Work 4.0’, Marc De Vos explores and develops possible avenues for a corresponding transformation of labour law. It begins by identifying the underlying transformational trends, to argue priorities for transversal career management, sustained labour quality focus, and continuous and integrated talent development. Adopting a long-term view, it develops a possible future of labour law as a ‘law on persons’ beyond employment status. It concludes by stressing and illustrating how the future of labour and labour law is about much more than law.
