Limited studies have been performed in South America to assess patient and physician perceptions of electronic health record (EHR) usage. Daniel Capurro determine the perceptions of physicians regarding EHR use in outpatient clinics, specifically regarding the impact of EHR use on the quality and content of their patient-physician interactions and the rapport established with their patients, and assess patients’ satisfaction with their outpatient encounters and their perceptions of EHR use in relation to communication with their physician.
