Research shows that judicial clerkships are viewed as mentorship and professional development. However, unclear application processes and judges who abuse clerks provide obstacles. To solve this, a Centralized Clerkships Database could allow law clerk grads to share their experiences. Law students can use this information to make career selections and encourage diversity in the legal profession. Transparency helps law students, clerks, schools, and the profession.
